Marc Lacy, the second child and first son of three children born to Walter and the late Julianne White Lacy, is a cum laude mechanical engineering graduate of Alabama A&M University (AAMU). While matriculating through AAMU, he was a starting forward for the Men’s varsity basketball team.
Also when Marc was on “the yard”, he was often sought for various speaking engagements, and he delivered presentations as a means of enhancing student life and morale on campus.
Often referred to as a “left and right brain” type of guy, Marc’s Gemini-esque character is highlighted by the fact that he is a contingency planner/engineer/ logistician by day and a speaker, writer, and producer by night. He is also the CEO of AVO Publishing, LLC, under which his literary works and audio recordings have been published and produced.
Last, but certainly not least, Lacy is disc jockey with AVO Communications, Inc.
While touring the nation, Marc is most noted for his smooth-flowing lyrics and creative mind which are exuded in his eloquently written poetry. On stage, a beast is awakened within as Lacy delivers his often-charged and thought-provoking spoken word performances. By offering a wide range of subject matter in his work, Marc has been able to cover a lot of ground within his craft.
His “versatile” writing and performance (through God’s endless blessings) have played a big factor in his thirteen published literary works (multi-genre), seven produced spoken word CDs, and numerous literary collaborations as a contributor Marc Lacy 322 to multiple anthologies.
Lacy has also been blessed to host/emcee several events over the decades as well as deliver keynote speeches for various causes.

BPM: Please share something our readers wouldn’t know about your younger years of education.
I am an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.®. I belonged to the following Societies in college:

BPM: If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Loves handling business.
BPM: Introduce us to your most recent work. Where does it fit in the Whiskey House series?
My most recent work is called Ghost of Ace Honeycutt, a fiction-thriller, and it is the 3rd and final installment of the Whiskey House Trilogy. It’s last, but the action within the pages assures the reader that it is certainly not least.
BPM: Can you share with us something about the book that isn’t in the blurb?
The reader may not be ready for all the twists, turns, surprises.
BPM: What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?
The process doesn’t seem to get any easier regardless of the number of books written. Each story seems to have its own unique set of needs.
BPM: Where do you see yourself as a writer and poet in five years?
By then, I hope to have at least 3 entire trilogies published, of which at least one as a screenplay. On the poetry side of things, perhaps teaching creative writing as an adjunct professor.
BPM: How do you find or make time to write? Are you a plotter or a pantster?
I am most definitely a plotter.
BPM: Tell us a little about your creative process. What’s your first step in beginning a new project?
Nowadays, I just write and flesh out ideas, subsequently I organize as best as possible.
BPM: Tell us briefly about the books in the poetry collection, Clairvoyance.
Clairvoyance – Insightful Lyrical Musings from the Poetic Vault Series. Clairvoyance is a collection of poetic works from speaker, writer, and producer, Marc Lacy. This publication is what Lacy is deeming the “ultimate discernment” of his deepest thoughts and contemplations. Clairvoyance is comprised of over 500 previously unreleased poems from Lacy’s sacred vault.
