Mack E. Smith and Sara Freeman Smith are independent publishers and authors dedicated to amplifying voices that demand to be heard.


Mack, an Honor Graduate of Southern University (B.S.) and University of Detroit Mercy (MBA), broke down economic barriers as a Relationship Manager with Chase Bank, helping African American professionals secure financing when other banks turned them away. His community service earned him the Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts of America. He authored How to Become a Mortgage Broker when eBooks were just emerging.


Sara, an Honor Graduate of USC (B.A.) and University of Phoenix (M.A.), navigated corporate leadership while experiencing 90% vision loss. She served as Commissioner on the Houston Commission on Disabilities and received the J.P. Morgan Chase Leadership Fellows Award. She authored Turning Stones into Gems: Finding Purpose in Your Life & Career.


Together, they co-founded U R Gems LLC and co-authored How to Self-Publish and Market Your Own Book, empowering independent writers to share their stories.
